Upstate has been a NYSELAP (New York State Environmental Laboratory Approval Program) certified lab since 1984. NY Lab ID Number: 10170. EPA lab Code:NY00054. Copies of all Upstate certifications are available.
Upstate was one of only about a dozen labs that held an ASP certification (NYS Department of Health Analytical Services Protocol)-held since 1995.
All Upstate analysis conform to the latest approved EPA/NYS DOH/NYS DEC procedures.
Upstate chemists/scientists and technical staff have developed, implemented and undergone special certification procedures on new and existing environmental testing methods and can assist you with whatever chemical/biological/sampling problems that might occur.
Upstate employs over 30 full-time chemists and laboratory technicians, 8 field engineers, 5 project coordinators, 2 quality control officers, 2 custody officers, 1 information technology director, and 6 administrative personnel.
